HFF is proud to have 23 of its U.S. offices, 25 of its U.S. markets and a total of 78 brokers recognized as 2017 Power Brokers by CoStar, the largest professional research organization serving the commercial real estate industry.
Over the past 18 years, CoStar Power Broker Awards are awarded to both firms and individuals with the highest transaction volume in commercial property sales in their corresponding markets throughout the year. For property sales, awards are presented based on highest sales dollars, while leases are upon square footage. CoStar has recognized more than 250,000 industry leaders for their success in the commercial real estate market.
Several HFF offices saw substantial growth in 2017, which is reflected in the CoStar results. Specifically, HFF’s Philadelphia office, which had four professionals – Carl Fiebig, Brett Segal, Doug Rodio and Mark Thomson – singled out as Top Sales Brokers, had a year of positive changes that resulted in growth. CoStar has recognized HFF’s Philadelphia office as a Top Sales Firm every year since it opened in December 2013, but this is the first year that this many investment advisors from the Philadelphia office were awarded the CoStar’s Power Broker Award.
“It’s been a pleasure and honor to be a part of the growth of this office since joining the team less than two years ago,” said Rodio, who co-heads HFF’s Philadelphia office along with Thomson. “We want to thank all of our clients for your continued support. We appreciate your friendship and your confidence in our ability to represent you with best-in-class execution.”
“We have come a long way in the four and a half years since we opened the HFF Philadelphia office,” Thomson added. “There were four of us at first, and we now number about 30 strong with no plans of slowing down. We are fortunate to have earned the No. 1 or 2 market share in the three major property segments and are excited to see what we can accomplish together in the future.”
In 2017, HFF’s Philadelphia office saw an increase in sales and financings for all property types, led by a record year for multi-housing in the region. The office expanded its services by adding a new net lease team comprising Marc Mandel, Steve Schrenk and Erin Smith providing HFF’s Philadelphia office wider local and regional capabilities than ever before. And to top off the last quarter of 2017, HFF Philadelphia relocated from the Conshohocken to the heart of Philadelphia’s CBD. In addition to the CoStar honors, Real Estate Alert recognized HFF Philadelphia as the No. 1 Top Broker of Multi-Family Properties for 2017.
